Football Match Preview

Belgium vs England Predictions and Betting Tips – 15th November 2020

So the last round of this year’s international fixtures are here as England take on Belgium in their Nations League clash on Sunday evening (kick off 7.45pm).

The two sides last met in October when England came from behind to beat Belgium 2-1 at Wembley. Romelu Lukaku had given Belgium the lead before England turned it around thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Mason Mount.

Both of these nations possess players of a world-class stature such as Harry Kane, Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Lukaku.

The last meeting was a decent game and hopes are high for more of the same on Sunday evening. It should be a cracker!

Belgium vs England Predictions

Belgium currently top the group after three wins from their four games. England currently sit in third position, but just two points off the Belgians. A win could put England top.

However, goals have been very hard to come by for England. They have only scored three goals in four games and two of those came in their last match against Sunday’s opponents.

Belgium, meanwhile, have scored 10 goals and have the quality to cause real damage. England also have the tools to hurt Belgium on Sunday, should manager Gareth Southgate release the shackles.

England are the team who have to win to try and top the group. A defeat would put that out of the question so the likes of Kane and Sterling need to turn it on.

We think England could once again repeat that result from last month and edge out their rivals heading into the last group game.

Belgium vs England Betting Tips

Belgium Team News

With this being such a big game for both sides, expect Roberto Martinez to name as strong a line up as possible. That means De Bruyne, Lukaku and Toby Alderweireld will all start on Sunday.

Possible team: Simon Mignolet, Toby Alderweireld, Dedryck Boyata, Jason Denayer, Thomas Meunier, Axel Witsel, Youri Tielemens, Yannick Carrasco, Kevin de Bruyne, Jeremy Doku, Romelu Lukaku.

England Team News

Southgate has a had few withdrawals through injury. Trent Alexander-Arnold is out, Joe Gomez has had to have a surgery after picking up an injury in training and James Ward-Prowse has been replaced by Jude Bellingham. No doubt though that the Three Lions will field a strong XI for this.

Possible team: Jordan Pickford, Kyle Walker, Eric Dier, Harry Maguire, Reece James, Jordan Henderson, Declan Rice, Kieran Trippier, Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford, Harry Kane.
