Fulham to beat Nottingham Forest – 6/4

Fulham make the trip north having enjoyed a far better start to life back in the top-flight than newly promoted rivals Nottingham Forest. The Cottagers sit comfortably in mid-table, with their only defeats thus far coming against Arsenal and Spurs. Aleksandar Mitrovic has effortlessly made the step up, scoring in five out of Fulham’s six matches, with his goalscoring record bettered only by Erling Haaland.

Forest haven’t been quite so impressive, with any early hope gained in a 1-0 win over West Ham quickly lost with three consecutive defeats. A loss against Tottenham and a 6-0 drubbing to Man City could have been expected, but the way they capitulated against relegation rivals Bournemouth last time out will have Steve Cooper worried. Fulham look favourites ahead of this game – mainly because of the nuisance that is Mitrovic – and we can see them nicking a win on the road.

Arsenal to beat Brentford – 10/13

Defeat against Man United will not have dampened spirits too much in the Arsenal camp – Mikel Arteta’s side dominated large parts of the game and were probably unlucky to come away with nothing. They face another tough trip to the Community Stadium to face a Brentford side that have lost just once this campaign.

The Bees are a seriously dangerous opponent, especially given Ivan Toney will be chomping at the bit following his hat-trick against Leeds. However, the Gunners have a way of nullifying teams by keeping them pinned back. There is a fluidity about them this season that has been sorely lacking for a number of years, and their technically gifted footballers are giving them a far better chance of competing at the top. There doesn’t appear to be too many teams that can handle Arsenal in their current form.

Everton to draw with West Ham – 11/5

This is a huge game between two teams struggling towards the bottom of the league, with two managers coming under increasing pressure to turn things around. Whilst West Ham probably look favourites on paper, there was a resilience on show in the Merseyside derby that makes us think Everton aren’t dead and buried just yet.

The Toffees are unbeaten in four – albeit four draws – but Frank Lampard has found a way to make them difficult to beat. They look a far better side at Goodison Park, and with the visiting Hammers unable to reach the performance heights of last season, this could be a tight affair. Three points would be massive for both, but we’re not sure either have the cutting edge to finish the game off.
