UFC Vegas 106 Preview: Latest Odds & Best Bets

UFC Vegas 106 Preview

UFC Vegas 106 sees the famous Octagon return home to the smaller Apex venue, as Gilbert Burns makes his return from potential retirement talks to take on the undefeated Michael Morales.

It’s never as exciting a night of action when the UFC settles at the Apex, with limited crowds generally providing a dull atmosphere, which makes the fights feel more like spars at times. However, this can lead to some interesting and unexpected showings, particularly from younger fighters trying to earn their spot in the division and get out of the venue.

By Apex standards, this is also a relatively big-name card, with the likes of Burns joined by Paul Craig, who is the one man to beat Magomed Ankalaev on the undercard. There are also fan favourites like Julian Erosa and Jared Gordon, both of whom pushed Paddy Pimblett right to his limits before he blew up into superstar status.

There’s also an appearance from the surprisingly popular Nursulton Ruziboev, whose social media followers number in the millions. He takes on Dustin Stoltzfus in the hopes of following up on a stunning second round knockout earlier this year.

UFC Vegas 106 Betting Preview and Best Bets

With NetBet serving as an official betting partner of the UFC, we’re offering a massive number of markets on the entire card this weekend – not just the main event. So let’s dive into which ones can make you big money.

First of all, the bet we always recommend, so let’s go for the Alternative Winning method in Pinheiro v Pennington, Reed v Gomes and Santos v Lisboa. We’re going to back all three fights to end with a ‘Winner By Decision’ in a treble that ends up with 9/5 odds. It’s a fairly solid bet in WMMA to go for the over and at nearly double your bet, this one could make you serious money this weekend.

Another feature of these cards that tends to fascinate our tipster are matchups between an unbeaten fighter and a UFC veteran. Hyun Sung Park vs Carlos Hernandez is one of those, two stoppages for the Korean after earning his spot on Road to UFC, but he takes on a six-fight UFC veteran who is tough as nails. We like Hernandez by KO/TKO/DQ or Decision at 17/10 in this one, but if you have to back Park then 11/5 on a KO/TKO/DQ or Submission at 11/5 is a solid bet.

We actually fancy Jared Gordon to beat Thiago Moises, but if there is a way for the judges to cost him a fight then it will happen, so that evens price for Moises looks good. We’re also bullish on a Paul Craig win over Rodolfo Bellato and that 15/4 outright winner price is one of the most attractive of the night.

In the main event, the bet that jumps out to us is a whopping 7/1 on Burns, a jiu-jitsu black belt, to win by submission or decision. Another undefeated fighter losing their 0 is our prediction so even the 11/2 Burns outright price is a good one.
