They may have lacked clinical instinct in the final third against Austria, but they found themselves there almost at will. The wingers both demonstrated their dazzling pace and Fran Kirby showed glimpses of her capability of unlocking defences from the 10.
What sets the hosts apart from most other nations at the tournament is their incredible depth. They have gamechangers on the bench that can be utilised across the pitch, something which could be the difference as the competition heats up. Undoubtedly Norway will be up to the challenge, but it’s tough to look past the free-flowing Lionesses.
