As for Wolves, a 4-0 defeat at West Ham last Friday was a stark reminder of their struggles in all departments, with a place in the Championship next season soon to be confirmed. While Newcastle’s hopes of Champions League qualification are over, you feel this is a huge match in the context of Eddie Howe’s future. Up against a former employer, the Magpies boss desperately needs a St James’ Park win after four losses in the last six across all competitions, including consecutive top-flight defeats vs Sunderland (1-2) and Crystal Palace (2-1).
