Title Deciders: Liverpool vs Tottenham & Manchester City vs Newcastle Premier League Preview and Betting Tips

Every Premier League fixture is a potential title decider for Liverpool and Manchester City – this weekend is no exception. We’ve previewed the upcoming fixtures and provided the best betting tips available on NetBet Sport’s football odds page.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Football Preview

There’s plenty on the line for both sides heading into this fixture at Anfield. Dropped points for Liverpool could spell the end of their title hopes, whilst anything other than victory could see Tottenham fall five points adrift of Arsenal in the battle for Champions League football.

On the face of it, it’s difficult to see anything other than a home win. Jurgen Klopp’s side are still unbeaten in the league at Anfield this season, and the Reds have won their last five Premier League home games a combined 15-0.

Spurs fans will take even less hope from their record on Merseyside – they haven’t won away at Liverpool since 2011, when Luka Modric sealed a 2-0 win in only their second victory at Anfield since the Premier League began. That being said, the 11/2 underdogs did cause Klopp plenty of problems in the reverse fixture, and they’ll be heavily reliant on Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane if they are to complete a smash and grab.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Betting Tips

NetBet Boost: Liverpool to win 1-0 – 33/4

If their recent league results at Anfield are anything to go by, a clean sheet is on the cards. They’ve conceded just seven goals at home all season, and NetBet have boosted the odds on a 1-0 win!

Liverpool win, both to score, Son anytime goalscorer – 5/1

You can’t write off Spurs too easily. They are certainly capable in forward areas, and who better than their top goalscorer to find the net? We do think they’ll be outclassed over 90 minutes, but it should be a tight affair.

Manchester City vs Newcastle Football Preview

City’s fate is in their own hands – after stumbling on the European stage yet again, they simply cannot afford to end the season trophyless. Newcastle are far from an easy outing in their current form, but it’s a game you’d expect the champions to navigate successfully.

Pep Guardiola’s side will need picking up following their draining trip to Madrid, and the Magpies might be the unfortunate recipient of a hammering this weekend. The hosts were 4-0 victors in the reverse fixture, and although Newcastle have since improved, they won’t be able to cope with the relentless waves of City attacks.

The visitors have won four of their last five and were edged out in a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool last weekend, but they were fortunate to escape with just the one conceded. Only 16 of Newcastle’s 43 points have come on the road this season, and although Eddie Howe has begun building a dangerous side, the 13/1 underdogs will have to ride their luck if they are to take anything from this game.

Manchester City vs Newcastle Betting Tips

NetBet Boost: Kevin De Bruyne to score first – 9/2

City’s joint top goalscorer so often pops up in their time of need. Dangerous from anywhere within 30 yards – even outside 30 yards – the Belgian is not short of ball striking and finishing ability.

Man City win 3-0 – 11/2

A comfortable City win seems the most likely outcome. As soon as they find the first, which they inevitably will, the floodgates could open.
